Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam

Picture
The Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam hosts LaserLab Amsterdam which has an extensive history in precision measurement and spectroscopy. The group of Jeroen Koelemeij recently published results from the SuperGPS project in Nature, a demonstration of positioning and time transfer with 10cm uncertainty. A YouTube video explaining the project is available here. The VU group is partnering with UvA to develop time and frequency transfer links for the QuantumDeltaNL and AQuRA projects.

Within AQuRA VU is developing applications of precision optical clocks for time and frequency transfer including investigating an optical white rabbit protocol.
