Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt (PTB)

Picture
Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt (PTB) is the National Metrology Institute of Germany with scientific and technical service tasks. PTB measures with the highest accuracy and reliability – metrology as the core competence. PTB stands for progress and reliability in metrology for the benefit of society, trade and industry, and science. The transportable lattice clocks group within the PTB has developed transportable strontium optical lattice clocks which have been operated throughout Europe to measure and compare optical clocks and for geodesy applications.

Within AQuRA PTB will test act as technical authority during the system design as well as being responsible for the test and verification of the performance of the completed AQuRA clock.
